Shaun Remington, a Flight Centre Consultant in the Brisbane Spring Hill store, lived in Las Vegas for a year. Shaun says there is always something to see and do in Vegas. But he loved the nightlife - with the plethora of bars and clubs and enjoyed savouring the incredible dining options.
Here are Shaun’s favourite Vegas hangouts.
Triple George Grill
This is an amazing place to eat, just off Fremont St in Old Vegas. The bar has a great relaxed atmosphere and some of the best food in Vegas at a reasonable price – and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Many times I found myself just popping in for lunch and eating at the bar while watching an NFL or basketball game.
Downtown Cocktail Room
At first glance you wouldn't even notice the place; it’s pretty much just a metal door from the outside. However once you go inside, you’re welcomed by the soft lighting and a comfortable yet stylish lounge bar. One of my favourite things here are the cocktails - I became quite a fan of the lemon drop Martini. With it’s extensive range and unique creations you will be sure to find your perfect drink. It’s also great place to meet interesting people; it has quite a following of the who’s who of Vegas.
Hands down this place has one of the best views of Vegas. Located 54 levels up and placed just behind the strip, this rooftop bar is definitely one of the best places to tag yourself in a photo to put on facebook. The bar itself is OK but it’s the view which makes it.
Hash House a Go Go
Hungry? This place will definitely fill you up. They have great meals that are all extra large. That’s right – large by even American standards - this place is the definition of excess. I couldn't resist the pancakes. Apparently even Martha Stewart and Dr Phil love Hash House a Go Go.
