There’s a lot to love about San Francisco, it's hard to know where to start. If panoramic parks, handmade pasta, stiff drinks and packed dance floors are your jam, San Fran is for you.
We caught up with Christina Augello, founding artistic director at EXIT Theatre, to chat about her favourite places to eat, drink and play.
Yuet Lee – This old-school Cantonese restaurant on Chinatown’s Stockton Street is my favourite for Chinese food, and Original Joe’s on Union Street is my top pick for Italian.
The Saloon – This North Beach bar has been open since 1861. You’ll find live blues, cheap drinks and great bartenders. On Sundays, the awesome Chicago Blues Power plays from 4pm to 8pm.
The Mission District – Hop on the cable car to Powell and Market streets – cars leave every five to 10 minutes at peak times – and head over to the Mission to shop ’til you drop.

Pacifica – Drive down to Pacifica (which takes about 20 minutes) and stop at Nick’s at Rockaway Beach for awesome Pacific views. Stay overnight at the Sea Breeze Motel or have a drink at the pier on the weekend.
Insider info – Have a bloody mary at Gino and Carlo on Green Street before breakfasting at one of the outdoor cafes on Columbus Avenue.
