Flight Centre Team Expert, Andrew Redmond, recently returned from a Highlights of Sunny Florida tour with Cosmos.
Beginning and ending in Orlando, Andrew visited Miami, Florida Keys and the beautiful Everglades. There was even opportunity to extend the tour to spend a few days exploring Walt Disney World Resort.
One of Andrew’s trip highlights was a visit to the world-renowned Kennedy Space Centre, where he explored the wonderful world of space through fascinating exhibits and thrilling rides.
“To be honest, I thought we may have too much time at the Kennedy Space Centre, but in fact I ended up running out of time, there were so many things to do and see. There really was something for everyone,” said Andrew.
The tour continued on to enjoy the many sights of Miami, exploring the golden shores of South Beach and admiring the region’s famous Art Deco architecture. Andrew insists that a return visit to Miami Beach is a must.
“I had a great time exploring Miami but the stunning architecture took up most of my time, so Miami Beach is high on my return-to list,” Andrew explained.
After seeing the tropical islands of Florida Keys in many movies, Andrew was looking forward to experiencing this island paradise for himself.
“We spent a day and half exploring the area but I highly recommend joining a sunset cruise, where you can enjoy the sensational views with a beer or wine in hand.”
Even though Andrew had toured in the past, Cosmos proved to be a fantastic and cost-effective option, offering all the benefits of traditional touring at a better price.
There’s nothing like having the advice of a well-travelled Tour Director at your disposal.
“I was pleasantly surprised to find there was plenty of free time to go exploring by yourself or with your fellow travellers. Our Tour Director provided tips on what to see and how to get there. Even the quality of the hotels we stayed at exceeded my expectations,” said Andrew.
“Also I highly recommend the optional extras that Cosmos suggest, as they were surprisingly great value for money.”
“For first timers on a tour, I would encourage them to keep an open mind, even if you think an activity is not your thing. Go with the flow and don’t let any little issue along with way spoil your once-in-a-lifetime holiday!”
Enjoying new experiences and meeting new friends is a wonderful way to travel, and with the expertise of Cosmos, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride.
