The Skyline Complex in Queenstown is one to add to your things to do in Queenstown list! Five luge rides, a Maori cultural show and a hearty buffet dinner provided us with a fun, relaxing and entertaining evening at the top of Queenstown.

The Skyline Queenstown is a family friendly attraction and is accessible only by gondola. The gondola base is a quick five minute walk from the heart of Queenstown. You will see the gondola from many places throughout the town.

Great for mini thrill seekers

For those who want a slight thrill while they are in Queenstown but are not keen on bungy this is a great activity. The goldola ride goes at a 37 degree angle for over 700 meters taking you to the top of Queenstown! Once you're up there race your mate on the 800 metre Luge Adventure ride. Try and take a pause break to appreciate the spectacular views of Queenstown & The Remarkables. Don't worry there is no physical work involved other than driving, a chair lift will take you back up to the top of the ride again.

Wine, dine and take in the views

The bar in the Skyline complex is the perfect place to take in the views of Queenstown. I remember sitting there and feeling so relaxed and at ease, the perfect place to wind down after a busy Queenstown day. After a couple of drinks in the bar area we enjoyed the 'Taste of New Zealand' buffet. One thing is for sure, no one will be leaving hungry!

The Maori Cultural show is great for all ages. I suggest the show mainly for a family friendly activity. You will experience the Haka, Maori dancing, singing and stories. There will be a few laughs when audience members are asked to join the cast on stage. Volounteer yourself or someone in your group for extra giggles!
