Wheels Up - A World Of New Flights

Each month exciting new destinations are introduced around the world, granting us access to even more incredible experiences. This month we take a look at new flights to Tamworth with Virgin Australia, an increase of flights Perth and China, Etihad A380 update and new Jetstar Gold Coast to Fiji flights.

Perth To China Increase

China Southern has added a weekly flight between Perth and Guangzhou bringing the service to four departures per week.

The service has also been retimed to offer more connections from Guangzhou. Two flights per week from Perth to China will be morning departures with the other two services now an overnight flight. The same retiming applies to return flights.

Tamworth Singing

Virgin Australia has announced it will take on QantasLink with new flights between Sydney and the country music capital Tamworth in northern New South Wales.

The new route will use a regional ATR-72 turboprop aircraft with 68 all-leather economy seats. Flights will operate six times weekly excluding Saturday.

Shanghai To London Daily

China Eastern has added a flight each Monday which means flights between Shanghai Pu Dong and London Heathrow will now be daily.

Connections are available from Australia with the additional service beginning 27 April.

Etihad A380 To NYC

Etihad Airways will launch the super jumbo A380 between its home base of Abu Dhabi and New York's JFK Airport from 1 December.

Replacing the current daily 777-300ER service, the aircraft swap means additional capacity and access to the world's most luxurious flying experience, The Residence.

Jetstar Ramps Up Fiji Flights

Jetstar will commence flights between Gold Coast and Fiji three times per week from March 31. This will mark the first time a low-fare airline has operated between the two destinations.

Operated by the airline’s 180-seat Airbus A320 with all leather seating, the flights will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Qantas To Hamilton Island

Qantas has made a return to the popular haven of Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays. New non-stop service from Sydney is now available with twice weekly flights onboard the next-generation 737-800.
