A wildfire has been burning in Yosemite National Park in California and is unfortunately still only 35% contained. Due to this the decision has been made to keep most of the park closed until further notice.
Areas currently affected include, but are not limited to Yosemite Valley, Wawona, Glacier Point, Mariposa Grove and Hetch Hetchy. In other areas there is poor air quality and visibility, with heavy smoke.
The ongoing closure will impact all visitors to the park, including tours within the park and hotels in and around the park.
