Bulgari, Armani, Versace, De La Renta. We already covet their couture and desire their ready-to-wear collections, not to mention luxury brand accessories, footwear and handbags, so naturally a bespoke hotel suite designed by our favourite designers makes for a most fashionable stay. More and more apparel designers are making a foray into hotels, lending their sartorial style to reflect their unique aesthetic. Here is where you can have your designer hotel suite tailored to suit.

Bulgari Hotels & Resort, Bali

Blending modern Italian architecture with Balinese traditional hand-cut stone, Bulgari Hotels & Resort Bali has an enviable clifftop location in Uluwatu and a private beach. Each villa boasts its own garden, pool and an outdoor living room with Indian Ocean views. There are also other Bulgari hotels in Milan and London, plus Shanghai, Beijing and Dubai due in 2017.

IMAGE: PALAZZO VERSACE

Palazzo Versace, Gold Coast

The world’s first fully fashion-branded hotel opened on the Gold Coast in 2000 and its saturated tones and opulent decor complements the bold Versace vibe perfectly. The luxury 5-star hotel is reminiscent of grand European hotels with mosaic and marble finishes and hand-finished gold details on vaulted ceilings. Palazzo Versace will also be opening in Dubai in December.

ARTIST'S IMPRESSION: LISBOA PALACE

Karl Lagerfeld Hotel at Lisboa Palace, Macau

Slated to open in late 2017, prolific fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld will be opening his first hotel in the Lisboa Palace, a three-hotel complex with 20 storeys and 2,000 rooms in Cotai. Artist’s impressions reveal the Chanel designer has gone for a stunning French royal chateau facade for the Karl Lagerfeld Hotel dubbed ‘Disney meets Versailles’ (Karl Lagerfeld Hotel will be the far right front tower building).

Armani Hotel, Dubai

Admirers of Signor Armani’s signature understated luxury aesthetic will be in minimalist heaven at the fashion designer’s hotel within the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa. The Armani Hotel Dubai was designed and developed by Giorgio Armani with sleek decor throughout the 160 guestrooms and suites. The exclusive Armani/Privé VIP lounge is the place to be seen. You can also check in to Armani Hotel Milan.

Round Hill Hotel and Villas, Jamaica

The award-winning Round Hill Hotel and Villas in Montego Bay contains 36 oceanfront guestrooms, designed by Ralph Lauren, who also owns one of the 27 luxury Jamaican villas. The US designer brings his preppy sartorial style to the beautifully appointed rooms – think white linen four-poster beds and plantation shuttered balconies to catch the balmy Caribbean breezes.

Tortuga Bay, Dominican Republic

The late Dominicano designer Oscar de la Renta lent his fashionable flair to Tortuga Bay Hotel, part of Puntacana Resort & Club in stunning Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The gorgeous hues of the Caribbean are complemented by the eco-chic boutique hotel, in which the suites and villas are furnished with authentic Dominican and luxury features and a bold yellow tone throughout.
