Lufthansa Pilots Strike On Mon 1 Dec & Tue 2 Dec

The Lufthansa pilots' union (Vereinigung Cockpit) has called for a snap strike on Monday 1 December and Tuesday 2 December. This strike is part of an ongoing pay dispute between Lufthansa pilots and the airline.

Short haul and European flights

From midnight Monday 1 December until 23:59 on Tuesday 2 December (local time), pilots operating short haul and continental European services will strike.

Long haul and intercontinental flights

From 0300 until 23:59 Tuesday 2 December (local time), long haul international and intercontinental services will be affected.

The following is a statement from the Lufthansa website:

During the strike period disruptions of Lufthansa flights are expected. Lufthansa is currently working intensely on a special timetable for the strike period, which will be published tonight. All flights operated by the Lufthansa Group airlines Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Germanwings, SWISS and Air Dolomiti (operated by OS, SN, 4U, LX, EN) will not be affected.
