Ongoing Strike Action Continues To Disrupt Australian Airports

15 September 2015

The strike action, organised by the Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU), that caused delays at international airports in August, is expected to resume tomorrow, 16 September, continuing for an entire week.

A spokesperson for the CPSU has stated that employees of the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection including the Australian Border Force are expected to take part in the planned stoppages.

These stoppages will affect international travellers arriving or departing from Australian airports as per the dates and times below.

Anyone travelling internationally needs to be aware that they may experience delays and should allow an additional one or two hours for check-in and immigration.

I love the kind of travelling that is one part strategic planning and two parts spontaneous adventure. Whether I'm exploring my local city or a small town in the middle of nowhere, I'm always hoping to find something no one else has discovered.
