If you walk far enough down Kuta Beach you'll notice the thinning of crowds and an absence of artificial noise. This marks the beginning of Legian Beach, known as one of Bali's quieter and more peaceful coastlines where you're more likely to hear the surf than your fellow visitors' voices.
Don't think Legian Beach is predominantly for snoozing on the sand. There are more than enough activities here to keep you occupied such as surfing and local games of beach football. As the sun sets, you'll notice the sounds of musicians accompanying the ocean and you might even witness fire twirling.
If you simply want to relax and forget about the world, you can hire a sun bed for around 50,000Rp per day and kick back with a cocktail in one hand and a loose grip on reality in the other.
