Situated slightly off Petitenget Beach, this Balinese temple dates back to at least the 16th Century and is one in a series of sea temples along Bali's coastline. The temple complex is everything you would expect of a Balinese temple, with monkey sculptures and a rustic appeal.
Visiting the temple grants you access to the complex where you can learn about its history and the various beachside ceremonies that are held onsite. The latter are renowned throughout Seminyak and beyond, in particularly the anniversary celebrations according to the 210-day Balinese calendar.
Visit during one of these ceremonies to see a completely different side to the temple and nearby beach.
