Found in the heart of Joshinetsu National Park in Nagano Prefecture and surrounded by 2,000m high mountains, Shiga Kogen is the largest ski resort in Japan. Getting There:
The nearest main international airport to Shiga Kogen is Narita International Airport, located just over 250km away. Matsumoto Airport is also located close by. Book flights online

The bullet train travels from Tokyo to Nagano, which is 27km away from Shiga Kogen Resort. From Nagano Train Station you can take a private shuttle to Shiga Kogen.

Car Hire:
Car hire is available in Nagano and Tokyo. During winter, snow chains for your tires are essential so be sure to also hire chains. You can book your car online to guarantee availability.
