Masterpieces and city treats
As you’re guided through the streets of Barcelona you’ll be treated to many of Antoni Gaudi's masterpieces including the majestic Sagrada Familia. You can also see his buildings and monuments dotted around the city from the likes of Casa Vicens, La Pedrera, Parc Guell and Casa Batlló. Barcelona really was Gaudi’s canvas.
There’s no denying Barcelona is the place to eat. Take a tapas tour and sample the best local specialties on offer, off the beaten tourist path and dining where the locals eat instead. Wander from barrio to barrio, learning about the intricacies of local Catalan and national Spanish cuisine as you go.
Day tripping
If you’re after more beach action than the city’s Barceloneta Beach and Nova Icaria Beach, go where the locals holiday and take a day trip to Sitges. Admire the lovely holiday homes and see where the rich and famous Spaniards get their Mediterranean sun as you walk along the boardwalks lined with palm trees.
While Sitges is only 20 minutes from the city, there are a full host of day trips that venture a little further afield. Wine aficionados will love travelling along the Montserrat and Cava Trail, while others can get their kicks with a Pyrenees Mountains trip or a visit to the medieval villages of Catalonia.
