When you're visiting a city for the first time, there's nothing better than getting tips from a local beyond the usual guide book suggestions!
We asked Dario Orsini for their insider scoop on Kuta.
Fat Chow - Fat Chow in Kuta is a must. The pork fried rice and Thai green curry are delicious, as is the famous nasi campur Bali at Made’s Warung, which is a western-Indonesian restaurant.
Velvet & Hypnotized - Try the rooftop at Velvet & Hypnotized, located on the busy beach walk. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail and the stunning sunset.
Kuta Beach Walk - Take a walk along Kuta Beach for a fantastic sunset, some surfing or just to enjoy the waves.
Tanah Lot - For culture head to Tanah Lot and see the sea-bound temple and also the kecak dance – one of the legendary Balinese dances first performed in the 1930s – which is mesmerising.
Insider Info -Make sure you have enough Indonesian rupiah in cash, and always try to bargain if you’re visiting the local market because prices are negotiable.
