Day 1
Launceston, Tasmania’s second-largest city, nestled in the Tamar Valley, offering countless ways to experience the essence of the Apple Isle. If you arrive early, set off on a boat cruise, into wine county or venturing into the Cataract Gorge. Prefer to stay on land? Wander along the cliffs to admire this natural wonder, where bushland blends seamlessly with Victorian gardens, lush with ferns and exotic plants. This serene space also holds deep cultural significance for the palawa Indigenous community. Take in a bird’s-eye view on the scenic chairlift, soaring over the emerald landscape to a stunning lookout (own expense). The rest of the day is yours—embrace the city’s charm before meeting fellow adventurers who will be your companions for the next week. When you join your Travel Director for a drink and toast to the incredible journey ahead along Tasmania’s spectacular east coast.
Day 2
Before you even arrive at Bridestowe Estate, the calming scent of lavender will welcome you. This idyllic farm delights the senses with indulgent flavours—from lavender-infused ice cream to golden honey, harvested by half a million bees thriving amidst the vibrant fields. Next, visit the Legerwood Carved Memorial Trees, an awe-inspiring tribute to fallen WWI soldiers, where intricate sculptures breathe life into history. It’s a poignant reminder of the freedom we cherish today. As evening descends, head to Bicheno to witness the enchanting sight of little penguins waddling ashore in their natural coastal habitat - a truly magical experience
Day 3
Tasmania’s east coast is famed for its breathtaking beaches, where the deep blue ocean follows you through Cape Tourville’s untouched eucalypt forests, offering dramatic coastal views that stretch endlessly. Explore the stunning Freycinet Peninsula on a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience, helping to conserve local wildlife. Glide past rugged granite peaks, pink-hued cliffs of the Hazards range, and secluded beaches embraced by lush bushland. Day 4

Wander through its charming boutique shops, or visit Old Hobart Town, a multi-award-winning model village depicting life in 1820s Hobart (own expense). Don’t forget to indulge in a famous scallop pie—a true Tasmanian delight! Tonight, escape to Iron Creek Bay Estate, a tranquil retreat surrounded by 70 hectares of orchards, flourishing with cherries, apricots, apples, and grapes. Take a guided farm tour, where you can pick fresh fruit and meet friendly geese, alpacas, and sheep before settling in for a magical evening. Day 5
While the World Heritage-listed Port Arthur Historic Site carries a solemn past, today it is framed by rolling green fields and stunning coastal vistas. Uncover its rich history on a guided tour, where expert storytellers bring its secrets to life. Cruise the Isle of the Dead, admire rugged sea cliffs from Pirate’s Bay Lookout, and marvel at striking geological wonders like Tasman’s Arch, Devil’s Kitchen, and the Blowhole. Tonight, enjoy Hobart at your leisure. Whether you seek fine dining or a cozy wine bar, Tasmania’s cool little capital offers plenty of ways to end the day in style.
Day 6
Hobart invites you to slow down and embrace its charm. From the serene waterfront and art-filled streets to the majestic mountain backdrop, the city sets a relaxed pace. Spend the day your way—perhaps set off on a Bruny Island Cruise to spot playful fur seals and towering sea cliffs or take a scenic flight over the wild Southwest. Take a guided walking tour through historic streets, visit the Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery (all own expense), or simply soak in the atmosphere of Australia’s smallest capital. This evening, gather with your travel mates for a celebratory dinner at one of Hobart’s iconic waterfront restaurants, savouring a perfect end to the day.
