While last-minute Japan Airlines sale fares may become available, you’ll generally find it pays to plan ahead. Most airlines release tickets around 11 months in advance, and as a rough guide, we recommend you book Japan Airlines flights between six and nine months before you plan to travel. When it comes to balancing airfare availability with the biggest savings, this should give you the best of both worlds!

Japan Airlines passengers can generally bring one carry-on bag with a maximum weight of 10kg and a total linear dimension of 115 cm. The linear dimension of your bag is calculated by adding the height, length and width (including wheels and handles).

In most cases, Economy tickets will also allow travellers to bring two checked bags with a weight limit of 23kg per bag.
