Our People
Workplace Giving - 20 million & counting
Flight Centre employees have the option of donating regularly to the Foundation via monthly pre-tax payroll deductions - our Workplace Giving Program. All operating costs of the Foundation are covered, meaning all funds donated by our people are passed through to our charity partners and grant recipients.
The Flight Centre Foundation aims to bring our people on our giving journey through our Giving Grants Program and partner support. The collective impact of employee's generosity, matched dollar for dollar by FCTG, allows us to create generous funds to support our chosen projects for a direct impact approach.
With as little as $5 a week, or one takeaway coffee, our people have raised over $20 million dollars since the Foundation started ensuring that the communities where we work, live and travel benefit from the enormous generosity.
Volunteering - Supporting the communities around us
All Flight Centre, all our employees are provided additional leave to use purposely for volunteering, giving back to our communities by volunteering for a local charity or community group.
Our people can volunteer towards time, skills and/or expertise. This can be through our Flight Centre Foundation partnerships and charities, and other not-for-profit, social enterprises or charitable organisations of their choice.
Our Planet
As a major travel retailer, we recognise our responsibility to preserve and enrich the places we love. That's why we partnered with Reforest Australia to assist with reforestation projects in Australia, Morocco, Canada and New Zealand. The beauty of our Planting for the Planet program lies in bringing our customers along the journey with voluntary contributions in our Captain's Pack offering, available with every instore booking.
So far, our customers have contributed to the planting of over 3 million trees - and counting!
We work with Reforest Australia to ensure we partner with the best on-the-ground organisations engaged in reforestation projects. Being local partners, they understand the ecosystems they work in, the most effective ways to restore them, and have strong relationships within their communities.
