After an early morning departure from Alice Springs, travel in comfort through the rugged desert landscapes of Central Australia. Pass through the beautiful MacDonnell Ranges and learn about the region's natural history, geology, flora and fauna from your Driver Guide. Along the way, stop at a local roadhouse and view Atila (Mt. Conner) as you travel through Curtin Springs Station before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort.
This afternoon, enter Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and visit the Cultural Centre, where you'll have time to explore the galleries and learn more about local Aboriginal culture. Travel to the base of Uluru and hear the Aboriginal Tjukurpa (creation) stories that bring this ancient landscape to life.

Join your guide on a walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole, where you'll discover ancient rock art and sacred sites before making your way to the Uluru Sunset Viewing Area. Enjoy a sparkling wine as you watch the colours of Uluru change dramatically as the sun sinks below the horizon.

Travel to the spectacular Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), stopping at a dune viewing platform for panoramic views across the southern side of the domes.

On arrival at Walpa Gorge, enjoy time to explore the impressive rock formations and walk the 1.3km trail that follows the natural creek between two of the tallest domes.
Return to Ayers Rock Resort where the afternoon is at leisure. You may choose to relax or enhance your experience with one of several optional activities.

This morning you may choose a relaxed start or join the optional Field of Light Sunrise experience.

Travel through the desert landscapes to Kings Canyon, passing through Curtin Springs Station and viewing Atila (Mt. Conner) along the way. Your Driver Guide will share stories of the surrounding cattle stations while keeping an eye out for wild horses and camels.
Arrive at Kings Canyon Resort with time to relax before enjoying a spectacular sunset. In peak travel months, drinks are available for purchase at the viewing area. Later, experience the remarkable Light Towers installation by internationally renowned artist Bruce Munro.

Rise early for the opportunity to climb to the rim of Kings Canyon and experience sunrise over Watarrka National Park.

Follow the canyon rim, stopping at lookout points that reveal spectacular views into the gorge below. Time permitting, descend into the lush 'Garden of Eden'. The full circuit walk takes approximately three hours and includes steep and rocky sections, making it suitable for guests with a strong level of fitness.
Alternatively, enjoy a shorter and easier walk along the canyon floor.

Later, board your coach and travel back to Alice Springs, stopping at Erldunda Roadhouse along the way before continuing north via the Stuart Highway.
