With Virgin Australia offering Accelerate members up to 15% off eligible domestic Business Class flights, corporate travellers could very well find themselves flying in the pointy end of the plane. Offering both domestic and international Business Class services, Virgin is proving that Business Class is more than a little extra legroom. Here's a look at what you can expect next time you fly:

Domestic Business Class Services

Before you fly:

When you book Business Class with Virgin Australia, the VIP treatment goes beyond a better seat at the front of the plane. For starters, all Business Class passengers receive increased complimentary baggage allowance and Priority Baggage delivery when you land. Priority check-in services, lounge access and priority boarding are also available to cut out the usual hustle and bustle of the airport.

Once onboard:

The exclusive services continue once onboard with Virgin's Coat Check Service that allows you to store your jacket out of harm's way. And a complimentary pre-flight drink and newspaper can help you settle in.

Virgin's A330, 737 and Embraer E190 fleets are all fitted with Business Class seating. Both the 737 and E190s offer luxury leather seats with a 38 inch (96.5cm) pitch, while the A330 seats can convert to an 80 inch (203cm) fully flat bed.  These also come with a 16 inch in-flight entertainment screen and a USB and universal power charging point to top up your gadgets while you travel.

Onboard meals and snacks come courtesy of 'The Business' menu, with gourmet food created by renowned Australian chef Luke Mangan. This includes a full three-course meal served on flights over two hours and 45 minutes.

Should you be in the air for more than three hours, you will also be treated to a comfort pack containing a blanket, pillow and stylish amenities. Passengers travelling on the A330 services will receive an exclusive REN amenity kit and can request a turn-down service.

International Business Class Services

Before you fly:

International Business Class passengers are treated to the same VIP treatment prior to boarding to ensure a smooth travelling experience. This includes complimentary increased baggage limits, priority check-in services, lounge access and priority boarding.

International guests flying long haul may also be eligible to take advantage of Virgin Australia's Limousine Service, which picks you up at your door and is waiting for you when you land. This service is available at participating airports only.

Once onboard:

International long haul passengers are treated to a pre-flight welcome drink and newspaper to help them settle in; though, taking comfort to the next level, you will also be treated to mood lighting to match the phases of your flight and a noise-cancelling headset.

In addition, international Business Class seating is even more plush, including the following features:

  • 1.88 metre (6'2") long fully horizontal flat bed
  • 77 inches (1.95m) of legroom
  • 23 inch (58.4cm) seat width
  • Privacy screens between seats
  • Laptop power, USB slot and reading light
  • 12.1 inch (30.7cm) in-flight entertainment screen

Adding to the luxe service, in-flight dining is completely up to you. You can eat what you want when you want throughout your flight. Choose from a range of premium dishes designed by Luke Mangan and created with the best local produce. Meals are also matched with a diverse selection of wines from boutique Australian wineries. Alternatively, stretch your legs as you enjoy a drink at the Business Class bar at any time during your flight.

When it comes time to sleep, international long haul Business Class passengers can take advantage of a turn-down service that includes a sleep suit, memory foam mattress and soft-to-the-touch duvet and pillow. There are also male and female deluxe REN amenity kits available.
