These business class travel trends are reshaping the inflight experience – new cabins, luxe extras and personalised service, unveiling new seats, smarter cabin layouts, and more personalised service than ever before.

There’s no denying it—business class is having a moment. Airlines around the world are reinventing the inflight experience for corporate travellers, unveiling new seats, smarter cabin layouts, and more personalised service than ever before. For those of us clocking up long-haul miles, the journey is fast becoming as considered as the destination.

At Flight Centre Business Travel, we understand that comfort is key to ensure you get the rest you deserve before meeting that new client or presenting to the board. That’s why we take the time to get to know you, and your travel needs so every trip sets you up for success.

New Cabins, New Comfort

From fully enclosed suites to innovative ‘double bed’ configurations, business class is evolving. Qantas has just revealed its long-anticipated Business Suites for the ultra-long-haul Project Sunrise flights launching in 2026, complete with privacy doors, a spacious layout, and wellness features designed to fight jetlag. Hot on their heels, Qatar Airways has unveiled its next-generation Qsuite, featuring more space, customisable layouts for solo travellers or groups, and upgraded tech including 4K entertainment screens and enhanced privacy controls.

Over at Singapore Airlines, their A350s and 777-300ERs continue to impress with lie-flat seats, generous storage, and a dining experience that rivals many restaurants on the ground. United’s Polaris, Air France’s revamped business cabin, and Lufthansa’s upcoming Allegris business class—featuring seven different seat types, enhanced privacy, and direct aisle access—reflect a growing trend: delivering more space, more comfort, and a more tailored experience. It's not just about reclining anymore—it’s about recharging, working, or switching off completely.

The (very comfortable) Race For Best In-Flight Pyjamas

And let’s not forget the soft side of the battle for business class supremacy—yes, we’re talking about pyjamas. Airlines are upping their loungewear game, turning bedtime at 38,000 feet into something of a fashion statement. Qantas' signature grey and maroon sets are a favourite among frequent flyers, while Qatar Airways partners with The White Company for ultra-soft sleepwear. Emirates goes one step further with moisturising fabrics infused with shea butter (because why not?), and others like Singapore Airlines and ANA provide sleep kits that feel more spa than sky.

Champagne, Chocolate And High-Altitude Style

It’s not just the pyjamas getting a glow-up. Airlines are pulling out all the stops with quirky and thoughtful extras. Emirates now offers exclusive pours of Dom Pérignon, while Qatar has introduced caviar service for business class on selected routes—luxuries once reserved for first class only. Some carriers, like China Airlines, are teaming up with Michelin-starred chefs to create in-flight tasting menus.

Looking to feel pampered? Brussels Airlines is offering vegan leather amenity kits from Belgian luxury brand NATA, complete with cosmetics from RainPharma. And Air India is taking sustainability sky-high with sleepwear made from recycled plastic bottles.

Even Cathay Pacific is getting creative, planning to bring onboard art galleries into their premium cabins—because why shouldn’t your mid-air stroll come with a little culture?

The Routes That Matter

Some of the most popular long-haul routes for our business travellers—think Sydney to London, Melbourne to LA, or Brisbane to New York—are now serviced by these next-gen cabins. Knowing which aircraft flies your route can make a real difference. A 787 Dreamliner versus an A350? That’s a conversation we love having with clients, because getting the aircraft right means you arrive refreshed and ready to perform.

Why It Matters To Your Business

At Flight Centre Business Travel (FCBT), we know business class travel isn’t just about luxury—it’s about enabling performance, productivity, and wellbeing. Whether you need to sleep soundly before a big pitch or stay connected en route to a conference, the details matter. That’s why we take it personally. We get to know you, your team, your travel preferences, and your goals—so we can recommend the right airline, the right cabin, and the right perks for every trip.
