Kuala Lumpur Airport has two main parking options: the Short-Term Car Park located next to the Main Terminal Building and the Long-Term Car Park, which you’ll find near the Malaysia Airports Training Centre. 

This is your fastest option for getting to and from Kuala Lumpur Airport and the city centre. The KLIA Ekspres runs every 20 minutes between KL Sentral and KLIA with a journey time of approximately 30 minutes. Visit the KLIA Ekspres website for up-to-date information on timetables and fares.  

Kuala Lumpur Airport has two types of taxi services on offer – metered taxis and airport taxis. The metered taxi service is exactly what you would expect from a traditional taxi, with an initial fee or flag fall, followed by charges according to the distance travelled. Airport taxis operate based on a coupon or ticketing system, which includes your choice of vehicle and then a fixed price based on your final destination. Coupons can be purchased from counters at Domestic Arrivals on Level 3 of the Main Terminal Building or at International Baggage Claim, also on Level 3 of the Main Terminal Building. 

Car rental companies, including AVIS, Europcar and Hertz, are available at Kuala Lumpur Airport. Talk to your Travel Expert about organising car hire for your trip or book it yourself online before you leave. 

There are plenty of bus and coach options if this is your preferred way to get to and from Kuala Lumpur Airport. Services include the Express Coach to and from KL Sentral, as well as a number of alternative services to other destinations around the Malaysian Peninsula. 

If you need to transfer between the two terminals at Kuala Lumpur Airport, you’ll find the whole process quick and easy. The airport offers a free, 24-hour shuttle transfer service between KLIA (Terminal 1) and KLIA2 (Terminal 2) which runs approximately every 15 minutes.
