About Rome Airport (FCO)

Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), also known as Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (or Aeroporto Internazionale di Roma–Fiumicino “Leonardo da Vinci” in Italian), is the main international airport in Rome and the busiest in Italy. In fact, the airport sees somewhere around 50 million passengers in a single year! In case you’re wondering, there is a second airport in Rome which borders the town of Ciampino, and it’s important not to confuse the two. Giovan Battista Pastine International Airport (or Ciampino Airport) is smaller and acts as a hub for low-cost European airlines, like Ryanair.
