While last-minute Air France sale fares may become available, you’ll generally find it pays to get organised early when booking international flights, especially if you’re travelling during the summer. Most airlines release tickets around 11 months in advance, and as a rough guide, we’d recommend that you book Air France flights between six and nine months before you plan to fly. When you book Air France flights in Economy, you can generally bring one carry-on bag (55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm) and one personal item with a combined maximum weight of 12kg on board.

For checked baggage, Economy Air France tickets will normally allow you to bring one or two bags, each weighing up to 23kg with a maximum linear dimension of 158 cm. You can calculate the linear dimension of your bag by adding the height, length and width (including wheels and handles) together.
