China Airlines is Taiwan’s national carrier and is based at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Earning its title as Taiwan’s largest airline, China Airlines flights connect travellers to a network of almost 200 destinations across Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, North America, Asia and Europe. Passengers can book China Airlines flights in Economy, Premium Economy and Premium Business Class, and onboard meals include a delicious range of traditional Asian delicacies. China Airlines has a strong fleet of over 80 aircraft, and you’ll know it when you see it thanks to the pink plum blossom flower – the national flower of Taiwan – decorating each plane. Frequently asked questions

Keen to make your next holiday official? Keep an eye on this page for China Airlines specials or ask your Travel Expert to help you find the perfect flight itinerary for your trip. You can book China Airlines flights with us online, through the Flight Centre App or in-store with one of our Travel Experts. Can’t find the airfare you’re looking for? Check out our flight deals for other airline options to get your holiday off the ground!

This will depend on the terms and conditions of your specific China Airlines airfare and change fees may apply. More information on how to change your booking is available in our Help Centre and within our Booking Terms and Conditions.

Currently, we don’t offer fare alerts for international flights. Looking for the easiest way to stay up to date on China Airlines promotions and other flight deals as they come in to land? Subscribe for email updates and download the Flight Centre App to make sure you never miss a saving!

There are lots of ways to pay for your China Airlines tickets, including credit or debit cards, PayPal, CommBank Awards points and Flight Centre Gift Cards. More information and a full list of accepted payment methods is available in our Help Centre.

To check the status of your China Airlines flights after booking, talk to your Travel Expert or use the real-time flight status search tool on the China Airlines website if you’re departing within the next week or so. More information on how to manage your booking and flight change notifications can also be found in our Help Centre.

While last-minute China Airlines sale fares may become available, you’ll generally find it pays to plan ahead, especially if you’re booking long-haul international flights! Most airlines release tickets around 11 months in advance, and as a rough guide, we recommend you book China Airlines flights between six and nine months before you fly. When it comes to balancing flexible travel dates with the biggest savings, this should give you the best of both worlds!

We know there’s nothing more frustrating than seeing the China Airlines airfare you just booked go on sale, so consider adding our Captain’s Pack when booking in-store or our Online Captain’s Pack when booking online for Price Drop Protection options and other benefits.

In most cases, you can bring one personal item (like a purse, laptop or handbag) and one carry-on bag (56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm) with a maximum weight of 7kg on board China Airlines flights.

Economy China Airlines tickets will also generally include one checked bag weighing up to 23kg and with a maximum linear dimension of 158 cm. The linear dimension of your bag is calculated by adding the height, length and width (including wheels and handles).

Keep in mind, baggage allowances may vary depending on your flight itinerary, ticket class and loyalty program status, so make sure you check what’s included in your specific China Airlines airfare. Need to add extra baggage to your flight booking? Talk to your Travel Expert before heading to the airport!

You may be able to earn frequent flyer points on your China Airlines flight booking. When booking online, you’ll see a place to add your loyalty program or frequent flyer membership details if this is available for your flights, or you can ask your Travel Expert to do it for you when booking in-store. If your China Airlines airfare meets your program’s requirements, you’ll earn points! For more information, check with your specific loyalty program and see our Booking Terms and Conditions

Taipei serves as a major hub for international China Airlines flights, as well as Hong Kong and Tokyo for high-frequency regional business and leisure connections. Los Angeles is an important destination for the airline’s transpacific flights, and Amsterdam acts as one of the key gateways to Europe.

We sure do! By booking your China Airlines flights with us, you’ll have access to our experienced team of Travel Experts before you take off, as well as 24/7 emergency support while you’re away for added peace of mind. More information on how to contact us can be found in our Help Centre, or you can always talk to your Travel Expert if you made your China Airlines flight booking in-store.
