While last-minute Emirates sale fares may become available, you’ll generally find it pays to plan ahead when booking flights! Most airlines release tickets around 11 months in advance, and as a rough guide, we recommend you book Emirates flights between six and nine months before you plan to travel. When it comes to balancing airfare availability with the biggest savings, this should give you the best of both worlds.
We know there’s nothing more frustrating than seeing the Emirates airfare you just booked go on sale, so consider adding our Captain’s Pack when booking in-store or our Online Captain’s Pack when booking online for Price Drop Protection options and other benefits.
In most cases, passengers flying with Emirates can bring one carry-on bag (55 cm x 38 cm x 22 cm) weighing up to 7kg.
Emirates tickets in Economy will generally include one checked bag with a weight limit of 23kg and a maximum linear dimension of 150 cm. The linear dimension of your bag is calculated by adding the height, length and width (including wheels and handles).
Baggage allowances will vary depending on your flight itinerary, ticket class and loyalty program status, so it’s important to check what’s included with your Emirates airfare. Need to add extra baggage to your flight booking? Talk to your Travel Expert before heading to the airport!
You may be able to earn frequent flyer points when booking eligible Emirates flights with us. When booking online, you’ll see a place to add your loyalty program or frequent flyer membership details if this is available for your flights, or you can ask your Travel Expert to do it for you when booking in-store. If the Emirates airfare meets your program’s requirements, you’ll earn points! For more information, check with your specific loyalty program and see our Booking Terms and Conditions.
As one of the world’s largest connecting hubs, Emirates leverages Dubai’s geographic location to connect Eastern and Western travel. London is among the most popular global long-haul routes, with strong business and tourism demand year-round, while New York serves the airline’s popular transatlantic flights. Sydney and Melbourne are also important flight destinations, connecting Australia with Europe via Dubai.
