Lufthansa is the flag carrier of Germany and one of the largest airlines in Europe, operating out of its headquarters in Cologne and with major airport hubs in Frankfurt and Munich. As a founding member of the global Star Alliance, Lufthansa has access to an extensive network of partner airlines, including Air Canada, Air New Zealand, Singapore Airlines and United Airlines. This allows travellers to book Lufthansa flights to a huge list of destinations all over the world. Lufthansa tickets are available in Economy, Premium Economy, Business and First Class, and the airline is famous for its caviar service in First Class. In fact, back in 2013, a staggering 5% of the world’s caviar production was served on board Lufthansa flights! Book your Lufthansa airfare online or in-store today.

To check the status of your Lufthansa flights after booking, talk to your Travel Expert or use the real-time flight status search tool on the Lufthansa website if you’re departing in the next week or so. More information on how to manage your booking and flight change notifications can also be found in our Help Centre.
While last-minute Lufthansa sale fares may become available, you’ll generally find it pays to plan ahead. Most airlines release tickets around 11 months in advance, and as a rough guide, we recommend booking your flights between six and nine months before you plan to travel. When it comes to balancing airfare availability with the biggest savings, this should give you the best of both worlds!
We know there’s nothing more frustrating than seeing the Lufthansa airfare you just booked go on sale, so consider adding our Captain’s Pack when booking in-store or our Online Captain’s Pack when booking online for Price Drop Protection options and other benefits.
Flying in Economy? Lufthansa tickets will generally allow you to bring one personal item and one carry-on bag (55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm) with a maximum weight of 8kg.
In most cases, Economy passengers can also bring one checked bag weighing up to 23kg with a maximum linear dimension of 158 cm. The linear dimension of your bag is calculated by adding the height, length and width (including wheels and handles).
Baggage allowances will vary depending on your flight itinerary, ticket class and loyalty program status, so check your specific tickets to see what’s included with your Lufthansa airfare. Need to add extra baggage to your flight booking? Talk to your Travel Expert before heading to the airport!
You may be able to earn frequent flyer points on eligible Lufthansa flights booked with us. When booking online, you’ll see a place to add your loyalty program or frequent flyer membership details if this is available for your flights, or you can ask your Travel Expert to do it for you when booking in-store. If your Lufthansa airfare meets your program’s requirements, you’ll earn points! For more information, check with your specific loyalty program and see our Booking Terms and Conditions.
Frankfurt is a major global aviation hub for international Lufthansa flights, while Munich and Berlin are popular destinations serving the domestic and European markets.
