Information about Ryanair

Ryanair is a low-cost Irish airline with major airport bases at Dublin Airport and London Stansted. As the largest airline in Europe – and among the largest in the world – Ryanair operates a huge fleet of over 600 aircraft and facilitates approximately 3,600 flights every day! Travellers looking to explore Europe on a budget can book Ryanair flights to over 230 airports across 37 countries, including Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, Greece, Sweden and more. Ryanair flights consistently achieve 90% on-time performance scores plus sky-high customer satisfaction ratings. As a budget airline, these famously cheap airfares also come with some pretty strict baggage allowances, so it’s a good idea to travel as light as possible! Ready to explore Europe for less? Book your Ryanair tickets online or in-store today.

Frequently asked questions

There are plenty of ways to pay for your Ryanair tickets, including credit or debit cards, PayPal, CommBank Awards points and Flight Centre Gift Cards. More information and a full list of accepted payment methods is available in our Help Centre.

To check the status of your Ryanair flights after booking, talk to your Travel Expert or use the real-time flight status search tool on the Ryanair website. More information on how to manage your booking and flight change notifications can also be found in our Help Centre.

While last-minute Ryanair sale fares may become available, you’ll generally find it pays to plan ahead, especially if you’re travelling during the busy European summer. Most airlines release tickets around 11 months in advance, and as a rough guide, we recommend booking your flights between six and nine months before you plan to travel. When it comes to balancing airfare availability with the biggest savings, this should give you the best of both worlds!

We know there’s nothing more frustrating than seeing the Ryanair airfare you just booked go on sale, so consider adding our Captain’s Pack when booking in-store or our Online Captain’s Pack when booking online for Price Drop Protection options and other benefits.

Ryanair passengers can bring a small carry-on bag (40 cm x 20 cm x 25 cm) on board. As a low-cost carrier, checked baggage won’t be included with your airfare, although 10kg and 20kg add-on options are available for an additional fee.

Need to add extra baggage to your Ryanair flight booking? Talk to your Travel Expert before heading to the airport!

When booking online, you’ll see a place to add your loyalty program or frequent flyer membership details if this is available for your flights, or you can ask your Travel Expert to do it for you when booking in-store. If the flight booking meets your program’s requirements, you’ll earn points! For more information, check with your specific loyalty program and see our Booking Terms and Conditions

London Stansted is Ryanair's largest operating base, along with the airline’s historical home hub in Dublin. Barcelona and Madrid are popular Spanish city-breaks for Ryanair passengers, while Milan is a major Italian base. Other top destinations include European holiday hotspots like Málaga, Palma de Mallorca and Alicante.

We sure do! By booking your Ryanair airfare with us, you’ll have access to our experienced team of Travel Experts before you take off, as well as 24/7 emergency support while you’re away for added peace of mind. More information on how to contact us can be found in our Help Centre, or you can always talk to your Travel Expert if you made your Ryanair flight booking in-store.
