Perth International Airport (PER)

There are five main parking options to choose from at Perth Airport. LongTerm and ShortTerm parking is available for all terminals, while LongTerm Undercover, ShortTerm Saver and Premium options are on offer at T3 and T4 only. No matter which parking option you choose, it's worth booking online in advance to access the best rate. 

Whether you’re picking up friends or family at Perth Airport or dropping them off to catch a departing flight, Pick-up and Drop-off couldn’t be easier. An Express Pick-up and Drop-off zone is available in T2, T3 and T4 with a strict five-minute wait time permitted before you’ll be charged an overstay fee. Need a few extra minutes? Enjoy up to one hour of free parking in select LongTerm and Regional car parks at Perth Airport while you wait for your passenger to touch down. 

Transport to or from Perth Airport by taxi or rideshare is probably the easiest option, and taxi ranks are located at the front of each terminal. Just follow the signs to the nearest taxi rank as you make your way through Arrivals to the airport exit. DiDi and Uber rideshare services are also available and there are dedicated Pick-up zones near the exit of each terminal.  

Whether Perth is merely the beginning of an epic road trip around Western Australia or you just feel more comfortable having your own set of wheels, hiring a car is an excellent idea. Car rental companies, including AVIS, Budget, Europcar and Hertz, can be found at T1, T3 and T4 of Perth Airport. Transperth, the city’s public transport service, offers a number of convenient and affordable connections to and from Perth Airport. If you’re travelling to or from the T1/T2 precinct, catch the Airport Line train from Airport Central Train Station to reach the city centre in under 20 minutes or look for Bus Route 37. For the T3/T4 precinct, you can also make use of the Airport Line train by catching a bus to Redcliffe Train Station or looking for Bus Route 940, which will connect you with the city centre. It’s important to arrive at the correct terminal for your flight when departing from Perth Airport because the T1/T2 and T3/T4 precincts are a short drive away from each other. Luckily, there’s a free and convenient shuttle bus that runs every 20 minutes between 6am and 10pm and every 30 minutes between 10pm and 6am if you do need to transfer from one precinct to the other.

As a general rule, you should aim to arrive at Perth Airport at least three hours before your scheduled departure time for international flights. This should give you plenty of time to complete check-in, drop your bags and pass through any necessary security screenings before boarding. Keep in mind that you may experience longer lines and delays during busy travel periods, so check with the airport, airline or your Travel Expert directly for more information on recommended arrival times. 

There are a number of transport options available from Perth Airport to the city centre, including taxi and rideshare options, public transport or car rentals. 

Yes, there are a number of international airport lounges at Perth Airport, including the Air New Zealand International Lounge, Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge and Qantas International Lounge. Access to airport lounges may be possible depending on your ticket class, frequent flyer membership, credit card benefits or by purchasing a day pass. While there are no hotels within the airport itself, it is possible to book an overnight Sleeping Pod at T1 International.
