This is a region where Tibetan Buddhist traditions remain deeply rooted, with ancient monasteries, whitewashed chortens and timeless villages set against a dramatic backdrop of red cliffs and snow-capped peaks.
Our specially designed itinerary combines time to explore Mustang’s rich cultural heritage with a moderate trek through the heart of this Trans Himalayan region. We drive from the old capital of Tsarang to the walled city of Lo Manthang, where the King still holds a ceremonial place in the life of this secluded kingdom.
This journey is ideal for those who have trekked Nepal’s better-known trails and are now looking to discover a more hidden side of the Himalaya. It’s a chance to walk among centuries-old Buddhist settlements and tiny monasteries, with views stretching north to Tibet and south to the mighty Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.
