Day 1, Marrakech
Welcome to Morocco! Arrival Marrakech and transfer to your hotel. Spend the remainder of today at leisure. Opt to head out and explore the famous Djemaa el Fna Square this evening. You'll spot snake charmers, food stalls and story tellers that will provide unique entertainment for the evening. Be sure to return to your hotel to enjoy an included dinner.

Day 2, Marrakech
Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou. This morning, enjoy a guided city tour of Marrakech. Afterwards, traverse the impressive and iconic High Atlas Mountains as you head towards Ait Benhaddou. You will join a guided tour of Ait Benhaddou where you will explore splendid kasbahs and learn about the city's rich history. Renowned as one of the oldest villages in the south of Morrocco, Ait Bennhadou is an architectural wonder that has been used as a backdrop for many international movies including Gladiator and The Mummy. You will spend the night here and enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 3, Marrakech
Marrakech - Sahara Desert. Today begins with a stunning drive over the High Atlas, as you head toward Zagora via Ouarzazate. Passing through the Draa Valley, enjoy charming views of green, lush palmeries and amazing vistas. Watch in awe as the scenery morphs into a mighty, sandy desert. From here, you will transfer from the vehicle to the back of a camel. Feel like a local, as you trek into the Sahara Desert with your trusty new camel companion and spend a night at the authentic Berber Camp. Here, you'll enjoy local food, music, and an unforgettable night out under the stars of the Sahara.

Day 4, Merzouga
Sahara Desert - Marrakech. After your camping night in the Sahara, it's now time to head back to Marrakech. On the way, there will be a lunch stop. Once you arrive back in Marrakech, why not venture to Djemaa el Fna Square (also known as the legendary Main Square).
Djemaa el Fna is an open-air marketplace in the Medina of Marrakech. It is renowned for being one of the most storied public squares in the world. Visiting the square is a must for all tourists heading to Marrakech, as it is a fascinating experience that will make you feel like you've time travelled to medieval times. Explore the labyrinth, which includes over 9,000 lanes of bazaars, food stalls... and even people's homes!

Day 5, Marrakech
Marrakech - Essaouira. After breakfast, take a taxi (at own expense) to the bus terminal where you'll take the Supratours public bus to Essaouira - a colourful fishing town situated within 15th century Portuguese fortifications. This area is unique, boasting great beaches with surfing opportunities. From here, your tour will be unescorted, and you are able to explore at leisure.
Take the day to relax on the beach, or explore the UNESCO-listed medina, with its various souks and woodcarving workshops. Each city gate leads to the medina, so it's unlikely you'll get lost while exploring! The beach is located in front of the medina and has plenty of cafes with terraces and souvenir shops. Blue doors and window frames often indicate artists shops, where you may browse carpets or woodcarvings made by local artists.
There is the opportunity to take part in some optional activities, including quad biking, surfing, horse trekking and windsurfing. No matter how you choose to spend the day, you are guaranteed a great time in Essaouira.

Day 6, Marrakech
Essaouira - Marrakech. This morning you will enjoy breakfast overlooking the Atlantic. Afterwards, take a taxi (at own expense) to the bus station to catch the Supratours public bus back to Marrakech bus station where the tour will conclude on arrival (approximately midday). Departing flights should be booked in the evening or we can arrange additional nights in Marrakech.
