Later this evening, your guide will reach out with important tour details and information about tomorrow's departure.

Day 2, Canakkale
Istanbul - Gallipoli. Once a theatre of fierce conflict, the Gallipoli battlefields now stand as a poignant tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of World War I. Today, we’ll embark on a powerful guided tour, where our expert will bring the gripping history of this iconic region to life.

We’ll explore the hallowed grounds of ANZAC Cove, the Lone Pine Australian War Memorial, and Chunuk Bair New Zealand War Memorial, as well as the resilient trenches where soldiers once braved the frontline.

Our journey continues with a spectacular ferry ride across the Dardanelles, offering sweeping panoramic views of the Gallipoli Peninsula. Arriving at our hotel in Canakkale, we’ll have the perfect opportunity to unwind by the water’s edge and reflect on the day's profound experiences.
1 breakfast, no lunch, 1 dinner included.
Day 3, Kusadasi
Gallipoli - Kusadasi/Izmir. This morning, we delve into the legendary city of Troy! If you’ve seen the film Troy or read Homer’s epic The Iliad, you’ll recognise the dramatic tales of Paris, his beloved Helen, Hector, and the Greek heroes Agamemnon and Achilles. Rediscovered in 1863, Troy revealed itself as a layered archaeological marvel with nine ancient cities built one on top of the other, stretching back to 3000 BC. We'll tour the evocative ruins and marvel at the replica of the iconic Trojan Horse, famously filled with Greek soldiers who, according to legend, helped bring down the city.

Our adventure continues as we drive south to the ancient ruins of Pergamum. Here, we’ll be guided through one of the classical world’s most dramatic amphitheatres, perched steeply on a hillside. Pergamum was also renowned for its asclepion, an ancient medical centre, and its impressive Library, which was said to rival the famed library of Alexandria. After exploring these historic treasures, we’ll proceed to our overnight destination, either Kusadasi or Izmir. Please note that our hotel location may vary between Kusadasi and Izmir.
1 breakfast, no lunch, 1 dinner included.
Day 4, Ephesus
Kusadasi/Izmir - Sirince. Today, we step back into history as we explore the magnificent Roman ruins of Ephesus, one of the best-preserved classical cities in the eastern Mediterranean. As we roam the ancient streets of this once-thriving metropolis, we'll be awed by the grandeur of a city that, at its peak, boasted a population of nearly 250,000 and served as the Roman capital of Asia Minor.

Ephesus was renowned for its prosperity, driven by bustling commerce and pilgrims visiting the famed Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. We’ll marvel at the expertly restored landmarks, including the Great Theatre, Curetes Way, the Temple of Serapis, and the impressive Library of Celsus. Don’t miss the ancient public toilets and brothel, which offer a fascinating glimpse into daily life.

Following our journey through Ephesus, we’ll witness a traditional carpet weaving demonstration, immersing ourselves in an age-old Turkish craft. Our day concludes with a visit to Sirince, a charming Greek village nestled on a mountainside amidst a picturesque valley of vineyards and orchards. After soaking in the beauty and culture of Sirince, we’ll return to Kusadasi or Izmir for the evening.
1 breakfast, no lunch, 1 dinner included.
Day 5, Pamukkale
Kusadasi/Izmir – Pamukkale. As we journey through the sprawling plains and endless cotton farms, we'll reach the awe-inspiring ruins of Roman Hierapolis and the enchanting hot springs of Pamukkale.

This surreal landscape, often referred to as the 'Cotton Castles,' was sculpted by frequent earthquakes in the fault depression of the Menderes River basin. We’ll be captivated by the gleaming white cliffs, crystalline marble, and sparkling quartz formations that shimmer in the sunlight.

Take a leisurely stroll along the terraces or dip your toes in the warm, mineral-rich waters. For an extra treat, you can opt to relax in the Thermal Bath House, soaking in the soothing waters. This is a captivating glimpse into a unique spiritual tradition. We’ll also visit the mausoleum of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi, whose philosophical and poetic legacy has profoundly influenced Turkish culture.

Continuing along the historic Silk Road, we’ll stop at a stunning Seljuk caravanserai, an ancient roadside inn that once provided refuge for traders and travellers.
