Brisbane’s celebrated Emporium Hotel has been awarded Australia’s Leading Boutique Hotel at the 24th annual World Travel Awards in Shanghai.  The prestigious title comes as a triple hat trick for the boutique, independently owned and operated hotel, which won the exact same award in 2016 and 2015.

But it wasn’t without stiff competition. The Emporium Hotel was up against the very best in the country, including The Old Clare Hotel in Melbourne, Gaia Retreat & Spa, Lyall Hotel & Spa, The Henry Jones Art Hotel, Cape Lodge at Margaret River, Ovolo Woolloomooloo, and The Prince in Melbourne among others.

The Emporium Hotel now stands as one of Australia’s most awarded hotels, with a slew of international and national awards to its name.

Renowned for its contemporary elegant design, world-class facilities and top-tier service, the hotel features 102 custom designed, deluxe studio suites in a trendy Fortitude Valley location.

All rooms feature ensuites, state-of-the-art entertainment, free WIFI, extensive pillow menus, marble kitchenettes, laundries and Molton Brown amenities, 42 of which are King Spa Suites. There’s also a rooftop pool, sauna, gym, business facilities and 24-hour reception.

One of the ultimate highlights for guests is the hotel’s stunning Cocktail Bar – a haven of vintage and custom-designed pieces and the perfect spot to indulge in internationally-acclaimed wines and creative cocktails.

With a strong commitment to green environmental practice, no detail is spared in this boutique luxury experience.

Celebrating a Decade of Hotel Luxury

This year also marks the 10 year anniversary of The Emporium Hotel and to celebrate, two exclusive packages have been unveiled.

The $699 Emporium Anniversary package includes one night in an Emporium Suite, a signature anniversary gift of his and hers PJs, room scent and bath crystals, romantic turndown, insuite breakfast for two, early check-in and late check-out, and valet parking.

The incredible $10,000 Emporium Diamond Anniversary package includes all these details and more over two nights in a Deluxe Corner Suite – plus an Emporium Signature Travel Bag and Perrier Jouet Belle Époque toasting set. The packages also includes two signature anniversary cocktails and a seasonal cheese board served in the hotel cocktail bar, as well as a degustation at the famed Tartufo Restaurant with matching wines. What makes it really special though is an included personal consultation with leading jeweller Margot McKinney, with $7,500 to put towards a magnificent bespoke jewellery piece.

New flagship Emporium Hotel Set to Open in 2018

With a second hotel currently in the works as part of the $600 million Southpoint development in Brisbane’s South Bank, expect even more boutique luxury from the creators of the Emporium Hotel. Set to open in mid-2018, it will deliver a brand new concept to the same award-winning standards.

Perched in the heart of one of Queensland’s most iconic lifestyle and culture destinations, it boasts location in spades with the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) and Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) on its doorstep, as well as the restaurants, bars and 17 hectares of lush parklands and urban lagoons that South Bank is famous for.

The hotel with also flaunt direct access to the upgraded South Bank train station and a brand new ground-level pedestrian plaza that is home to eateries, shops and South Bank’s first major supermarket.

Tijana Jaksic

Tijana loves new adventures as much as she enjoys reliving old ones. Favourite stops on the map so far include Greece (beyond the islands!), Mexico City (hello ancient ruins and wonderful art), Poland (for the history and off-the-beaten-track finds), Berlin (so artsy and chilled) and Bosnia (ahhh the natural beauty). Choosing is always hard though - that's why her list is so long and she spends her 'real life' time writing about travel until she's out there on the road again.
