There is parking available at Fiji Airport, but it’s limited. If you have a car that you’re planning to leave at the airport (while you hop over to another island, for example) there is one car park with a capacity of 347 vehicles. 

Car rental companies, including AVIS, Budget and Hertz, are available at Fiji Airport. Talk to your Travel Expert about organising car hire for your trip or book it yourself online before you leave. 

It’s easy to jump in a taxi once you exit the Arrivals area at Fiji Airport! All trips should be metered (so make sure the meter is on), and it’s worth noting that Fiji’s yellow taxis only accept cash payments.

There are several public bus companies that operate out of Fiji Airport, although travel time can be lengthy. If you’re considering public transport, Sunbeam and Pacific Express bus lines all service Fiji Airport. The domestic and international terminals at Fiji Airport are a short walk apart, making it easy to transfer between the terminals.

A number of major airlines fly into and out of Fiji Airport, including Fiji Airways, Qantas, Jetstar, Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia.  

As a general rule, you should aim to arrive at Fiji Airport one to two hours before your scheduled departure time for domestic flights and three hours before international flights. This should give you plenty of time to complete check-in, drop your bags and pass through any necessary security screenings before your boarding time. Keep in mind that you may experience longer lines and delays during busy travel periods, so check with the airport, airline or your Travel Expert directly for more information on recommended arrival times. 

There are plenty of transport options available from Fiji Airport to popular holiday destinations, including car rentals, boat transfers, taxis and public buses. 

Yes, there are two airport lounges at Fiji Airport, the Air New Zealand International Lounge and the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge. Access to airport lounges may be possible depending on your ticket class, frequent flyer membership, credit card benefits or by purchasing a day pass.
