Pack light, with Merida's delightfully warm climate, you'll be living in your swimsuit and a sundress or shorts!

It might be hard to pronounce but Dzibilchaltun is the longest-serving Mayan city dating back to 1500 BC, so history buffs will be in their happy place exploring the ruins. If you’re up for a daytrip, Mayapan is one of the few sites you can climb to the top of the pyramid, while Uxmal is perhaps one of the most photogenic. Chichen Itza should be at the top of everyone’s Mexican bucket list – it’s one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
