Anti-endorsement Stance
The band refuse to allow their music to be used for commercial endorsement. It's believed that Coldplay have turned down lucrative deals with Gatorade, Coke and Gap. The band has commercially aligned with Apple though – Viva la Vida was used in a commercial for the iTunes store.

Social Media Presence
The band announced their fifth and current tour, Mylo Xyloto via twitter in September 2011. They have over eight million followers on the micro blogging social media platform. On facebook, the band has over 22 million likes with just under 300,000 people interacting with their facebook page at any one time.

Rihanna's Involvement
We don't want to give too much away about the stage show but we heard from a reliable source that Rihanna appears on a big screen to sing with the guys. The song they perform together is Princess of China.

Despite being raised in a religious environment, lead singer Chris Martin has been called a lapsed Catholic. However in 2008 he coined the word alltheist, implying that he believes in everything.

Yellow - An Early Hit
An early hit from Coldplay was the song Yellow. According to music folklore, the inspiration for the song came one night after recording the debut album Parachutes in 2000. Apparently, the band took a break after a long day in the studio and wandered outside. The musicians glanced into the sky and were mesmerised by the stars. From the sight, the melody for Yellow popped into Chris Martin's head.
