Frequently Asked Questions

Every traveller is different, and so is every travel deal! From flights and hotel stays to activities, meals, transfers and tours – to find out exactly what's included in a specific Bali travel deal, click on the offer above or ask your Travel Expert for more information today.

While Bali is a beautiful destination year-round, the best time to visit is during the dry season, which runs from May to October. With balmy temps and minimal rainfall, it’s the perfect time to experience everything Bali has to offer. Keen to avoid the intense crowds? Try to plan your visit either side of this busy period – late April to June or September to early November.

In most cases, Australian travellers are required to obtain a visa when visiting Bali, so make sure you check before you travel.

For more specific advice on Bali visa and entry requirements, talk to your Travel Expert but keep in mind that visas are the individual responsibility of travellers and conditions can change suddenly. We recommend referring to the Australian Government's Smartraveller website for the latest updates and Sherpa for guidance on visa requirements, as well as the relevant local government websites.

Absolutely! There’s plenty to explore in Bali as a family, and we’ve got deals to suit travellers of any age. Take a look at the offers above to see what’s currently available or ask your Travel Expert to help you book the perfect family-friendly Bali adventure.

You’ll struggle to find anywhere in Bali that doesn’t look like a postcard, but some of the most popular areas to explore for pristine beaches and vibrant nightlife include Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, Legian and Nusa Dua.

Some holiday packages may include flights or the option to upgrade your booking to a fly and stay package, but this will depend on the deal. To find out what’s included in a specific Bali holiday package, click on the offers above. Need to add flights to your booking? Check out our Asia flight deals or ask your Travel Expert for help getting your holiday off the ground.

While romance is in the eye of the beholder, you can’t go wrong with a honeymoon in Bali! From luxury resort stays to blissful beach days – browse our Bali holiday deals above or ask your Travel Expert for help planning the Bali honeymoon of your dreams.

One size doesn’t always fit all, especially when it comes to planning the perfect Bali trip! Some of our travel deals are more flexible than others, so talk to your Travel Expert about customising your Bali travel package or to see what alternative options are available for your holiday.

Travel insurance isn’t included with our Bali deals, but we always recommend travellers consider taking out a policy to protect their holiday from the unexpected. You can get a quote and purchase travel insurance with Flight Centre in a few clicks online.

Airport transfers may be included with your Bali holiday booking, depending on the deal. To find out exactly what's included in a specific Bali travel deal, click on the offer above or ask your Travel Expert for more information today.

While it really depends on your travel style (and how much annual leave you’ve got banked up!) we’d recommend staying in Bali for about a week. This will give you plenty of time to explore the island and visit all the major attractions... as well as enjoy a laid-back beach day or two.

We like to think of ourselves as a one-stop shop for travel, so there are plenty of other services on offer when you book your holiday with us. From travel insurance, foreign currency exchange, travel eSIMs and interest-free finance options to car hire, cruise excursions, group travel and complex multi-stop adventures. Not to mention our Captain's Pack for added value and peace of mind! With over 40 years of experience, we're with you every step of the way.

Where to stay in Bali

Where to stay in Bali

Some Bali locations are famous for their beaches, others for their luxury, and further still for their arts. When it comes to deciding where to stay in Bali, the truth is you’re spoiled for choice. If it’s a lively atmosphere that appeals, Kuta and Legian offer a vibrant ambiance with easy access to dining, markets, cultural attractions, and shopping. Meanwhile, the high-end enclaves of Seminyak and Nusa Dua are known for their luxury feel, and Ubud boasts a selection of some of the finest relaxation retreats on the island.Choosing where to stay ultimately comes down to what you hope to explore and how you prefer to spend your time.

  • Seminyak

Home to some of Bali's most luxurious resorts, Seminyak offers a quieter alternative to its lively neighbours, Legian and Kuta. Many resorts overlook picturesque Seminyak Beach, offering beachfront access, spectacular sunsets, and proximity to the shopping boutiques and high-end restaurants within the immediate vicinity. Seminyak is also within walking distance of Kuta, making it a convenient location for exploring a range of Bali attractions.

  • Canggu

Canggu is widely regarded as one of the best areas to stay in Bali due to its emerging popularity as a beachside destination and truly laidback feel. Featuring new beachside resorts, the region is also home to diverse beaches that have sands ranging from black in some areas through to the creamy shorelines so familiar in the island's south.

  • Legian Beach

Known for its vibrant nightlife, Legian is the second-most popular place to stay within the Bali region. Resorts and accommodation line the beachfront, providing ready access to water sports, shopping, restaurants, and more. If it's the buzz of activity you seek, with excitement at any hour of the day, then Legian is perhaps the destination best suited to meeting your needs.

  • Kuta

If you're looking for accommodation positioned in the thick of Bali's action, you can't go past Kuta for its accessibility to shopping, entertainment, and endless dining options. Kuta is a thriving hub of activity day and night. However, amid all the action, there's still quiet refuge to be enjoyed at one of the many beachfront resorts adjacent to the main street.

  • Nusa Dua

Of all the places to stay in Bali, Nusa Dua is arguably the most exclusive precinct available. The region was specifically designed as an “all-inclusive” tourism enclave, and it features luxurious and world-renowned resorts with immediate beachfront access. There's also a golf course and a shopping centre. Kuta and Denpasar International Airport are both a quick taxi ride away, making this a convenient location of world-class standard.
