Swiss International Airlines is a Star Alliance member and has an extensive international network. While it does not fly to Australia it does operate to Asian hub cities such as Beijing, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei and Tokyo with onward connections to Australia with partner airlines.

Airlines from Australia

There are three airlines that provide direct cheap flights to Honolulu from Australia.

Hawaiian Airlines provides daily service from Sydney and from March 2014 will add a fourth weekly flight from Brisbane; up from its current three weekly flights from the Queensland capital. Hawaiian Airlines is a code share partner with Virgin Australia and Velocity points can be earned and redeemed on Hawaiian flights. Qantas and Jetstar provide direct Honolulu flights from Sydney while Jetstar also serves the route from Melbourne.

Honolulu International Airport (HNL)

Flight connections from Honolulu are available to many mainland U.S.A. destinations. Connections are also available to the South Pacific Islands and Asia. All major car rental companies are located at Honolulu International Airport (HNL) and taxi and shuttle bus services provide quick transport to the city. Downtown Honolulu is approximately 6 kilometres from the airport.

Where else can you find long, white sand beaches and lush tropical rain forests nestled within towering mountains and volcanos? And all of this just minutes away from the glistening metropolis of Honolulu, a city filled with excellent shopping, five star dining, luxury hotels and exciting night life.

Honolulu

Take a stroll and go for a swim at Waikiki Beach, one of the worlds most famous stretches of sand. Honolulu’s most iconic hotels and resorts line this famous coastline and the impressive view of Diamond Head volcano tops off the cosmopolitan setting. Get into the Hawaiian spirit at a Luau and be dazzled by the Hula dancing and traditional Hawaiian music as the warm tropical breeze blows gently by. To get a sense of just some of Hawaii’s rich history, visit the 140 year old Iolani Palace where Hawaii’s royal past comes alive and witness the sombre setting of the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor.
