Flights to Paris
What to know before you fly to Paris?
Paris promises any number of wonderful adventures, from appreciating world-class antiquities to cosying up in a stylish bistro, exploring historic neighbourhoods and experiencing the vibrant nightlife.
If you’re booking flights to Paris, note that summer can be busy, and the shoulder seasons of spring and autumn are perfect times to go. French is the official language and you’ll do well to brush up on a few key phrases before you leave home. The currency is the euro (€) and the Metro is easy to navigate although Paris is best seen from above ground, so pack comfy shoes.
Airports in Paris
There are three airports which serve Paris: Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Paris Orly Airport (ORY) and Paris Beauvais Airport (BVA). Located 23km northeast of the city in the suburb of Roissy, Paris-Charles de Gaulle is the major international hub, with three terminals handling international flights, European flights and domestic flights.
