Pacific Eden Onboard Experiences
Dining and bars
Pacific Eden offers a whole lot of options for dining, from complimentary restaurants serving up excellent cuisine to specialty restaurants offering even more mouthwatering choice. One of the biggest dining highlights on Pacific Eden is Salt Grill by Luke Mangan, which is open for dinner every night, as well as lunch on sea days. The delectable fare at Salt Grill is really something you don’t want to miss, so make sure you book a table as soon as you board. On your Pacific Eden cruise, you can also sit down to some very fine meals at specialty dining restaurants such as Angelo’s, which is all about soul-warming Italian food, and Dragon Lady, which offers a flavour-packed array of Asian dishes. There are also several top bars on board, such as Blue Room, at which you can enjoy your espresso martini while listening to some smooth live jazz.
Pacific Eden has loads of things to do onboard. Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie or are simply looking for a relaxing, stress-free sea break, you’ll find no shortage of things to do. P&O Edge, Australia’s largest adventure park at sea, has all the outdoor action with everything from abseiling and the knotted rope funnel climb to P&O’s exclusive Walk The Plank experience, segways and more. You can also enjoy some aquatic fun in the top deck pools, join some of the deck games such as basketball or boules, or take part in one of Pacific Eden’s group classes such as dance lessons or learning to mix the perfect cocktail.
Kids and families
A Pacific Eden cruise makes all families welcome, with plenty of activities designed for kids, as well as a good range of ‘whole family’ fun as well. The much-loved kids’ club is supervised by qualified child counsellors and is divided into four age groups: Turtle Cove for 2- to 6-year-olds; Shark Shack for children 7 to 10; HQ is where the tweens aged 11 to 14 can hang out; and HQ+ is where teenagers from 15 to 17 can spend time with people their own age. For the family as a whole, there’s plenty of action up at P&O The Edge, as well as friendly cruise games on deck. Pacific Eden also offers family-friendly dining such as special kids’ menus each day in The Waterfront main dining room, and also has a selection of interconnecting rooms for families.
Aboard your Pacific Eden cruise you’ll find cabins grouped into Penthouse, Suite, Balcony, Oceanview and Interior. The Penthouse is absolute luxury, and features a large spa bath, private balcony, floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious sitting area and separate dining area as well as numerous other highlights, such as a choice of up to six different types of pillow. Around 50 of the Oceanview and Balcony rooms can be configured as interconnecting, for families or groups of friends.
Fitness and wellbeing
There are loads of ways to stay active aboard a Pacific Eden cruise – particularly if you are keen on hitting P&O Edge adventure park. There’s also table tennis, half-court tennis, shuffleboard and cruising favourites such as quoits. If indulgent self-renewal is more of what you had in mind, you can treat yourself to some pampering in Pacific Eden’s Spa. Services include massage, beauty treatments, acupuncture, reflexology, body scrubs and spray tans.
Shows and nightlife
As on other P&O ships, Pacific Eden is hosts some hugely popular themed parties. These include Bianco, the P&O White Party, the Gatsby Party, inspired by the roaring twenties, and the Back To School Party. A Pacific Eden cruise is also where you’ll have the chance to experience some great live music, with different performances every night ranging from acoustic guitar duos to four-piece jazz bands. If dazzling stage productions are more your thing, the Marquee Theatre is home to a number of fantastic, original musicals, choreographed and designed by a leading Australian production company. If you love adult humour there’s the Adult Comedy Club, strictly for the over-18s.
