Frequently asked questions

Our Chile tour packages often include visits to Santiago, Atacama Desert, Patagonia, and Easter Island.

It depends on the package; some include flights, while others do not. Check the package details and chat with your travel expert to include flights in your booking.

Yes, many of our tours offer family-friendly activities, experiences and accommodation. If in doubt, chat with your local Flight Centre travel expert to find the right Chile tour option for your tiny travellers.

Visa requirements depend on nationality. Check the specific requirements for your nationality by visiting the Chile visa and immigration website or chatting with your Flight Centre travel expert.

Yes, adventure tours can often be added to our packages. In fact, we highly recommend everyone visiting Chile sprinkles a little bit of adventure into their trip - whether it be hiking in Patagonia, exploring the massive glacier and ice fields, or traversing the Atacama desert.

Yes, Chile is generally safe for tourists. If in doubt, we recommend you follow travel advisories, keep up to date with local guidelines and use common sense. (P.S. Don’t forget to grab some travel insurance, that way you’re covered in case something does go wrong).

The best time to visit Chile and enjoy sunny days is from September to November and March to May. If you’re hoping to see Chile when it’s chilly, then head over for ski season between June and August.

If you’re heading over in the warmer months, opt for summer clothes and light layers. A hat, sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes are also a must. Hikers making the trek to Patagonia should check weather predictions to ensure you’ve packed appropriately, and anyone heading over during winter is best bringing warm, waterproof layers to avoid getting too chilly.

Tours typically range from one week to two weeks, giving you plenty of time to explore the picturesque national parks, feast on delicious local food amongst the city streets of Santiago and even head across to Easter Island. Got more time up your sleeve? Chat with our travel experts about extending your trip or even tacking on another tour.

Travel insurance is generally not included in the tour package itself. With that in mind, it’s a pretty important part of your holiday, so chat with our travel experts about including it as part of your booking total.
