The city of Venice is a strictly car-free zone, so you won’t find any hotel parking options. You won’t even find roads! If you’re arriving by car, you’ll need to park somewhere outside the city. Popular spots include the Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto, but spots are limited so make sure you book this in advance.

While last-minute offers do exist, we'd recommend booking your Venice accommodation as soon as you can. Hotel availability in popular cities like Venice can become limited as your travel dates get closer, particularly if you’re planning to visit during the busy Italian summer! Flying into Venice is a little different than flying into other European cities – mostly because it’s normal to catch a water taxi from the airport to your hotel! Some Venice hotels may offer airport transfer services, although this is less common than in other major cities. Venice is a beautifully compact city – it's said that you can walk from one side to the other in under an hour – so no matter where you stay, you’re never too far away from all the action!
